The History of Atkar North America
Atkar North America was born from a longstanding relationship between Archmill House and Atkar Group, an Australian owned and operated company that has served the design and construction industry with custom acoustic paneling for over 70 years.
With this extensive knowledge base behind us, our mission is to provide industry-leading custom acoustic paneling solutions to architects, designers, and construction companies across Canada, the United States, and Mexico.
To further that goal, Atkar North America became an acoustical ceiling and wall paneling division of Archmill House in 2012. Archmill House is a family-owned company that over the last 30 years, has established itself as the leading provider of architectural millwork, case goods, and store fixtures for commercial, institutional, and retail markets.
As a division of Archmill House, Atkar benefits from unmatched access to local suppliers, expert design assistance and industry knowledge. Atkar is standing on Archmill’s shoulders by sharing their 160,000 square ft. manufacturing facilities, however Atkar independently operates with different assembly and labor lines.
With our deep industry knowledge and experience, Atkar’s focus is on market segments where quality custom acoustic paneling matters and has a significant impact on the primary users of an interior and a building.
