The Heritage Serra House at the U of T Campus underwent a massive makeover with renovations and a new four-story addition. BNKC focused their design on incorporating the growing needs while preserving the precious heritage fascia’s and internal elements cherished by the faculty and seminarians. The chapel space received a facelift with Atkar’s Au.diMicro™ paneling, formulated to have a solid architectural panel appearance while delivering optimal acoustic performance. Visitors were able to take a sneak peek at our product placement through the Estimator's drawings.
The architect held a strong vision for the White Oak veneer, with a particular tone in mind, leading to a need for meticulous quality control during the veneer selection process. In the chapel, great attention was given to crafting the curved ceiling panels, ensuring they were precisely manufactured to match the elegant radius of the curve.
Meanwhile, in the corridors, our utmost dedication was directed towards maximizing panel yield, all the while maintaining a consistent and harmonious color and grain match. We understood the significance of preserving the heritage fascias and internal elements, which hold deep sentimental value for the faculty and seminarians, and worked passionately to create a space that catered to their growing needs while preserving its cherished legacy.
