The University of Toronto - New College building, renowned for its cool modernist features, embarked on a transformative journey to elevate its social and communal spaces. The goal was to create an inviting environment that fosters interaction and connectivity while effectively addressing the acoustic challenges often encountered in large open areas.
The design brief mandated an "enhanced level of interior finishes," and the introduction of Au.diSlat proved to be an ideal fit. The finish and paint flexibility of our acoustic product not only enhances sound absorption but also adds intrinsic warmth through its wooden material with a sleek white painted finish. This balance of warm and cool tones complements the other finishes in the space while maintaining the building's existing cool modernist language.
